“St. Vincent” (rated PG-13) is new in theaters this weekend. It follows the story of a busy single mom who asks her neighbor played by Bill Murray to watcher her 12 year old son while she works at the local hospital. Like most stories of this type, the old man and the young boy learn some things from each other along the way.

Bob says there are some uplifting elements of this film as the older man learns to change by the end of the film. However, he’s changing from a profanity laced, heavy drinking, chain smoking man involved in some inappropriate relationships.  So even though there’s an uplifting end, Bob says there’s just too much to wade through for families, giving it only 2 out of 5 for family friendliness.
