Winter break survival kit

Winter break is the best! Having some extra time to spend with family and friends is so much fun.
If you have kids in your home, I don’t have to tell you that it can also be a bit of a challenge. Winter break generally starts pretty well. Kids are excited to have some time off from school, the anticipation of Christmas heavy in the air. Eventually, though, you reach the “what are we going to do now” portion of vacation. So, what are you going to do?
I found an article full of fun, cheap things to do with your kids this winter break, like:
- Forts! This has been a big hit at my house on a cold winter day. Pull your kitchen table chairs into your living room, drape some blankets over them, and you may not see your kids for the rest of the day! Send them in with some toys, books or games…they will have a blast.
- Babysitting swap! Find a few other moms who are also looking for some help, and take turns watching the kids. You’ll watch them one day, and get a few days off while the other moms take their turn. Your kids will have fun playing with the other kids, and you’ll get a vacation too!
