Keeping your marriage connected
By: Matt Deane
If you have little ones running around your home, you know it takes a lot of time and effort to make sure they are taken care of each day. So much time, in fact, that whether we mean to or not it can be easy to neglect our relationship with our spouse.
I read a great article today about simple ways to stay connected to your spouse during these challenging days. A few of the ideas:
– Have creative date nights. You don’t have to spend a lot of money or even leave the house to have some time for just the two of you. Plan a “date night in” after the kids go to bed. You could enjoy dinner and a movie together, without leaving home!
– Text throughout the day. It only takes a few seconds to send a quick message to tell your spouse you’re thinking about them. Plus. it’s a line of communication that can’t be interrupted by a crying baby!
