Fun with your kids

We all know that it’s important to spend quality time with our kids. Let’s face it, though, we’re busy! Even with the best of intentions, sometimes scheduling one-on-one time with your son or daughter can be a challenge.
I found an article today that shared a number of excellent ideas for parent/child dates. The great news, they don’t take a lot of time or money. Here are just a few of the ideas:
- After dinner dessert. After everyone has been fed, take one child out to their favorite dessert spot. Sometimes just a few minutes alone together can make a big impact, and build fun memories.
- Friendly competition. If you child enjoys sports, spend some time together with a round of mini-golf or a few games of bowling.
Yes, it can be challenging to find the time is our busy schedule for these special outings. But the more we can build these opportunities into our lives, the stronger our relationships with our kids will grow. And isn’t that worth it?
