That we would exercise the spirit of boldness that the Holy Spirit has given us to bring Him glory.
bold·ness ˈbōldnəs/ noun Def: willingness to take risks and act innovatively; confidence or courage – “the boldness and independence that characterized his leadership”
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7 Amp
Lord, forgive us for not embracing this precious gift you gave us when we first believed. In Christ, we no longer are imprisoned by fear but are given the Spirit of power and love and discipline. Show us small ways that we can begin to exercise this Spirit that we might become what you’ve called us to become and help us take that first step toward being bold in Jesus’ Name. Amen
