Tell Your Heart To Beat Again Lyrics

Shattered, like you’ve never been before
The life you knew
In a thousand pieces on the floor
Words fall short in times like these
When this world drives you to your knees
You think you’re never gonna get back
To the you that used to be

CHORUS
Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of Grace
Yesterday’s a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again

Beginning, just let that word wash over you
It’s alright now
Love’s healing hands have pulled you through
So get back up and take step one
Leave the darkness feel the sun
Cause your story’s far from over
And your journey’s just begun

CHORUS
Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of Grace
Yesterday’s a closing door
You don t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again

Let every heartbreak and every scar
Be a picture that reminds you Who has carried you this far
‘Cause love sees farther than you ever could
In this moment Heaven’s working everything for your good

CHORUS
Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of Grace
Yesterday’s a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again
Your heart to beat again, beat again

Oh, so tell your heart to beat again

  • Rev. Stan & Mrs. Stephanie Johnson says:

We played this video at a Memorial Service for the Forgiven & Set Free Bible Study participants. This Bible Study is for women – and men – who need healing from past abortions in their life. At this service, the women & men were able to honor & name their babies who are with the Lord now. Danny’s words & the lyrics were so powerful…everyone’s heart was touched that night. Thank you Danny for your version of this BEAUTIFUL song! God bless you!

  • Patricia Wagner says:

As a person with PTSD, this song was so powerful, to someone who felt their heart was broken. The song came on the radio just when I was having a flash back of painful memories. It felt like God wanted me to hear this song, I generally listen to my son’s rock station, but for some reason, I was driving alone and changed it to 101.9. Thank you for this healing and powerful song.

  • Karen says:

I went through an unwanted divorce 2 years ago. It was the last place I expected to be at this time in my life. I was devastated. I relocated 1-1/2 hours away from where I had been living in order to live near my (2) adult sons. They were very supportive and my daughter-in-law was so kind and loving to me. While I was driving back and forth, looking for a place to live, I found your radio station. Many of the songs spoke to me, but this one in particular. After feeling like I would never recover, I find myself with an amazing church, wonderful new friends and a gorgeous, precious baby granddaughter! My life is as good as it has ever been and with God’s help I have closed the door on that past lif; a life that was so unhealthy and unhappy. God had seen this beautiful future when I was still in the midst of my pain and heartache! That just amazes me and makes me so grateful to Him! Your music has been a very important part of my life. Thank you!

this song is for everyone who have felt that their life will never be the same again after all the heartbreaks and all the sufferings that we’ve gone through. Just have the intimate relationship with God. Then everything will fall out just right.
Everything will be good in the end, if it’s still not good it means it’s still not the end. (author unknown)
