By mid February most resolution setters have given up on their goals. Eating healthier is one of the hardest things to do. To stay on track to eating healthier, eat one serving of fruit and vegetables each day. Purchase easy to eat and transport fruit. Keep it at work, on the kitchen table, in your car! Drink, drink, drink—water!! Stay hydrated to get to your goal. Rule of thumb: drink half your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs, drink 100 ounces or just over 2 liters of water each day. I like to buy the 1Liter water bottles and try to drink 1-2 each day for easy tracking.
Track your progress! Keep a journal, get a friend to talk to about your successes and failures of your goal. If you have a workout buddy, you are more likely to stick to your goal. Having someone else hold you accountable increases your ability to succeed!
