New to theaters this weekend is the inspirational sports film “23 Blast” (rated PG-13). It follows the true story of Travis Freeman, a high school football player who went blind from meningitis.  After being challenged by his coach and others in his life, he rejoins the football team, moving from receiver to center.

Bob says this film includes a lot of uplifting content for the family and even some faith “lite” messages, but it is rated PG-13 for some teen drinking, so parents should be aware of that for their kids. Overall, he gave it 4 out of 5 for family friendliness. For more about the film, visit the Plugged In website.
