We’ve all asked it…. “How was your day today?”  And its almost always the same answer “Fine.”  This happens especially with kids coming home from school.  It is sometimes followed up with “What did you learn today?” And followed by “I don’t know.” or ” Nothing.”

What if we strived for deeper conversations?  More than the average surface level.  What if we caught students off guard by asking them something different?

Maybe try picking one or two try ask your student and make the conversation go a little deeper.   I think this idea can work in any conversation, with children or adults, digging deeper and really connecting with one another.
