We all have those days right? Where it seems like everything goes wrong. You wake up late, you spill your coffee, the dishes are still in the sink from last night, the kid’s aren’t ready to go, you hit every single red light known to man kind. It just continues all day long. Its easy to stay on that path of pointing out the bad things of your day. Easy to notice when something is not right. But what about when it is? You’ve heard it before but here’s a quick reminder…. focus on the positive.
You are so blessed. You have so many things to be thankful for. It’s hard to see that on those bad days but we’re so lucky to have the life we have. So you woke up late…. you woke up! You live to see another day. You probably woke up in a nice warm bed. Focus on the positive. You spilled your coffee. You had coffee to even spill. You have a washer and dryer to clean those clothes you spilled it on. So your dishes are still in the sink from last night and maybe the kitchen is a mess. That’s evidence of the meal your family had together. The food you were able to purchase. You had dishes to get dirty, you had food to eat. The kids aren’t ready to go…. think of what blessings they are, how special they are individuality, be so thankful for those kids. You hit ever red light. That happened in the car you own, that you were able to put gas in, your brakes work! The red light might have kept you from a traffic accident.
That’s just one way to focus on the positives. If you’re having a day that isn’t going as planned just stop and list 3 things you’re thankful for, odds are it’ll change your attitude and whole outlook on your day. Who knows, it just might turn into a good day after all.
