A wise sage commenting on what it means to be human said this:

“When you laugh and cry in the same day, that’s a good day!”

The first ever Girls Day Out at Shores Event Center was indeed, a good day. It was kind of like Girls Night Out, only bigger. Ladies from all over Eastern Iowa connected for a time of fellowship with friends -old and new – as they were treated to a day with Christian singer and author Tammy Trent.

I wanted to offer a special shout out to everyone who made this day possible. And I am so proud of Life 101.9 radio co-hosts Jenn and Kim who made it happen. Girl’s Day Out was a day to remember to be sure. I know there are a lot of ladies already looking forward to another one.

And speaking of days to remember, have you seen “I Can Only Imagine” yet? This movie is the story of MercyMe lead singer, Bart Millard (pron MILL erd). If you are planning on being with us for the MercyMe/Jeremy Camp concert on June 15th, go see the movie first if you can. I have spoken to several who have done this and they feel that having witnessed Bart’s powerful story on the big screen that they feel it will make the concert in a few weeks even more meaningful.

There’s lot’s to be excited about this time of year. I hope you’re jumping into the fun.

Looks like spring is here at last. (Do I hear a hallelujah!) No matter where your spring travels take you, I hope you will take us with you. In your car or on your smartphone with the Life 101.9 app, we want to be there to remind you of God’s love and care for you. Thanks for praying for us. Remember to pray with us about the prayer requests that are posted. We thank you for your partnership and friendship!

Spring has sprung! Let’s do it together, shall we?

May Blessings be yours,
