This is a message I expected would still be several years away, but the time has come. This will be my final week as manager of Life 101.9. I am being transferred to the Northwestern Media network station in Fargo, ND (Life 97.9) beginning next week.
I was offered this opportunity just a little over 4 weeks ago. My supervisor explained the need that exists at the Fargo station for an experienced manager who could help with some unique challenges they were facing. He left the choice to me, and after prayer and consulting with my family, I decided to take on this challenge.
It is not easy for me to leave here. My wife Margie and I have been here for the past 19 years, we raised our children here, we have lots of friends, a wonderful church family, and we’ve built an excellent team here at Life 101.9. What makes it a little easier to leave is knowing you’ll be in good hands. Our program director, Matt Deane, has stepped up to become the new station manager, and I know he will do a great job.
It has been a privilege to manage this station and be a part of your lives for these past 19 years. Together, we’ve seen God do some amazing things, in individual lives and in the community as a whole. Thank you so much for listening to Life 101.9, for praying for us, for joining with us in ministry opportunities throughout eastern Iowa, and for helping to support this vital ministry. I know you will continue to do so. I will be back from time to time to help out with fundraisers, and I will definitely look forward to those opportunities to be back here with you.
So for all that has been accomplished, and for that which lies ahead, Soli Deo Gloria!
Yours in Christ,
