My wife Jenny and I have two daughters, Anna and Kate.  One is a teenager; the other will be soon enough.  So yes, it has been several years since I have set up a Pack ‘n Play!  What used to be a very normal part of life was a bit like putting a puzzle together as I helped with preparations for Eastern Iowa’s Largest Baby Shower.

Life 101.9 is excited to partner with several Pregnancy Resource Centers to provide assistance to families in Eastern Iowa who need help taking care of the newest members of their family.  You can get involved in this meaningful opportunity by picking up some diapers and dropping them off in the donation bins (look for the Pack ‘n Play’s!) at the Slumberland Furniture locations in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Cedar Falls.  If you don’t have time to head out to shop, we’ve created an Amazon Gift Registry that will ship the diapers directly to the Pregnancy Resource Center of your choice!

Matthew 25:36-40 says “I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.  Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?  And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’  And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’”

When we help the needy in Eastern Iowa, we’re serving the Lord.  At the same time, we are practically showing His love to a world in desperate need of it.

Even if it’s been a while since you’ve set up a Pack ‘n Play or wandered down the diaper aisle, I’m hoping you’ll join us in this effort to assist in the amazing work that Pregnancy Resource Centers do each day.

In Christ,

Matt Deane
