We just finished a fantastic week of vacation.

We swam, we hiked, we canoed, we biked, we played corn hole, we played golf, we slept and we ate…a lot. But as is always the case, it’s never what we do, but who we do it with that makes vacation memorable.

I will always remember the fun times I had with my cousins as a kid on family vacations and the memories are still some of my favorite stories. When I watch my grand kids interact, I am hopeful that they too shall remember with fondness their “cousin/sibling time.”

I was able to get them all in one frame during meal time one day. Though we were six hours away in southern Missouri, this meal featuring hot dogs, watermelon, and corn on the cob did remind us of home back in Iowa.

Thank you Lord for the bucket of memories that we made this week!

Something to think about.
