No I’m not superstitious.

However, I recently declared to my family that my “lucky wig” was instrumental in helping our Chiefs make it to the Superbowl. My grand kids picked up on it and now I really need to explain to these little minds that the idea of wishing someone luck itself has no real power, except maybe in our imagination. I need to tell them that wishing someone “good luck” is kind of a game we play – a nice sentiment of a good outcome that we sometimes wish one another. (But I must admit, it has been fun to have hair again!)

On the other hand, as a Christian, I do believe in extending grace and acknowledging it in our lives. Yet when gifts come to us from our supporting friends, we don’t say that we’ve been lucky, because we know that something (or Someone) is at work here. We believe that God provides through his people allowing Life 101.9 to uplift listeners with positive music that’s safe for the whole family.

And for this we give “thanks.”

Thanks for your part in supporting us and giving us a good start in 2020. May you be blessed even as you’ve been a blessing to others.

Happy Groundhog’s Day, Valentine’s Day and…

Go Chiefs!
