I like hanging out with people who are the real thing.

Permit me to explain.

I’ve never been there but I’ve been told that the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo in the middle ages is something to behold. I’ve seen numerous pictures of it and from what I can see, it looks spectacular but those who have actually traveled to Rome to witness it first hand will tell you that pictures don’t do it justice. There just “ain’t nothing like the real thing.”

My favorite part of my job is to meet new people who are “the real thing”, the “genuine article.” People whose lives are not without challenges but they live in Truth trusting God through the ups and downs.

They live humble lives. They have a personal walk with Jesus. They have been given a gift of grace and they’re passing it on with the strength that God supplies. I could show you a picture of them but it would never tell their story like meeting them in person and experiencing life with them first hand.

There are many of you reading this who partner with us regularly that I have never met. In the days ahead I hope to change that. I want to shake your hand in person and let you know how we appreciate your partnership. Until then, thanks for being the “real deal” – for “putting your money where your mouth is” and expressing your love for Life 101.9 in your faithful giving. And may I offer a special shout out to those who helped us give a night of rest to the homeless, because of you over 1000 nights were sponsored to give those without a home a night of peace. So thank you.

Finally, a friendly reminder. Spring share is coming up. It’s the last official fund raiser of this fiscal year for Life 101.9. If a busy winter has left you a little behind on your commitments, no worries. This happens to all of us but would you make a note to take just a few minutes and pledge your support to Life 101.9 or perhaps fulfill a pledge you already made when you are able? Thanks.

Let’s march into March together for the sake of His Kingdom.

Tim
