It’s amazing how fast things can change, isn’t it?

Not that long ago, life was pretty normal.  Like yours, our family was running around Eastern Iowa on a daily basis it seemed, and work, church and school activities kept us busy.  Even when news headlines about a virus on the other side of the world started emerging, it all still seemed pretty far away.

Oh, how things have changed.

I trust that you and your family are staying healthy and safe as we all adapt to the “new normal” created by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Verses like Isaiah 41:10 have been so encouraging to me lately – “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

During every season of Life, it’s our goal at Life 101.9 to encourage you, and remind you of the hope we have in Jesus.  I’m incredibly grateful for our amazing team who are working hard to adapt to the new challenges we all face while bringing you the encouragement you come to Life 101.9 for each day.  During our recent Spring Share, we heard many stories of how God is using the music we play to bring hope to Eastern Iowa in a time when we so desperately need it.

A new way we are hoping to encourage you during these challenging times is with the Life 101.9 Life Group.  While many of us are more isolated than we were just a few weeks ago, our need for encouragement and community has not changed.  Beginning Monday April 13th, the Life 101.9 Life Group will offer an encouraging daily devotional, as well as a chance to interact with other Life 101.9 listeners in a safe and welcoming environment through a closed Facebook group.  It is our hope and prayer that through the four week devotional series, you find yourself encouraged and a little more connected…even in a time where we can’t be as connected as we would like to be.

Would you join us?  You can sign up for the Life 101.9 Group here.

In Christ,

Matt Deane
