COVID-19 has affected each of us in different ways.  For some, it has meant losing a job.  Others are adjusting to the new normal of working from home, while at the same time trying help their children with virtual learning and homework assignments.  Maybe you are dealing with the virus yourself, or have a friend or family member who is in the hospital right now.

I just want you to know that you are not alone.

You are not alone.

While we hope and pray for a quick end to the global pandemic, many of us have had to isolate ourselves from family and friends to attempt to stay healthy.  This can be difficult.  At the same time, though, we are finding new ways to connect.  Attendance at virtual church services around Eastern Iowa is skyrocketing.  Platforms like Zoom and Skype aren’t just for meetings anymore!  I am also grateful that God has placed Life 101.9 here in Eastern Iowa for such a time as this.  While we cannot be together, we can still come together to be encouraged through uplifting music.  The songs have been encouraging Jenny, who said…

“THANK YOU Life 101.9 for being there for me during this difficult season of change and uncertainty. I am single, disabled and live alone. I normally thrive when I have opportunities to be with people and this time has been especially difficult! So, to hear friendly, familiar voices over the radio and songs that I love is very encouraging!”

And Nick, who wrote…

“Life 101.9 has been a source of hope during these crazy times. My wife and I work in health care and so we are going to continue to be in this all the way through. It is nice to have a station to listen to on the way to and from work reminding us that through all of this God is there for everyone.”

No matter how COVID-19 has affected you and your family, God has promised to be with us every step of the way.  What a blessing to know that we do not have to face this on our own.  So be encouraged, find joy in the little things and remember…

You are not alone.

In Christ.
