I followed a chat on Facebook the other day that I found interesting. The participants were asked to give their personal answer to the following question.

“How would we live our lives if we only had one more day left on this planet?”

The answers were telling. Quite often, regrets were expressed in their answers for lives lived that didn’t reflect the values that they claimed were important. In observing their answers, I quickly learned what their values were because the participant wrote how they would spend their remaining minutes doing what really mattered to them.

Serious conversations such as this one seem more prevalent these days since our  “normal lives” were put on pause a few months ago. I could write a book about my thoughts and good intentions to do better during the extra time I’ve had sitting at home during the lock-down. Pondering my life, I actually think I may have learned a few things about myself that make me want to change. I’m excited about the possibilities.

Whether I really learned anything or not of course, remains to be seen. The good intentions will have to stick first :). However, I am hopeful that what seems to be different about me now, will be seen by others in the days ahead and those who see a different “me” will give glory to my Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

So how about you? Are you ready to let your light shine even brighter as we come out of isolation together? Has the corona-virus pandemic given you pause to want to live better and love better? Have you “seen the light?” (If not, you may still have extra time to ponder adjustments. Looks like “normal” is still a ways off.)

For what it’s worth, we’ve seen your light shine a lot recently as expressed by your generosity during our recent “Finish the Work” fundraiser. Thanks to you, we have finished our fiscal year fully funded. Praise the Lord! Your generosity means that we go forth with a mandate to let the power of uplifting music, infused by a God who loves us all, do a good work in all of our hearts. Philippians 1:6

Thank you for your partnership.

So with another fiscal year behind us, let’s roll up our sleeves together. A world is out there who needs to be reminded of God’s love and you and I have the privilege of bringing it to them. God’s at work, friend. The “refreshment” you have brought to Life 101.9 is living proof of this.

“Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.” Philemon 7

I’m thankful for YOU! Have a blessed July.
