What do you do when you’ve got a problem? Stress? Worry? Try to handle it yourself? Why is that always our go to response?
I feel like we take on our problems and struggles as if that’s all we can do is just face them. Muscle up and take it head on. And when that doesn’t work, because it doesn’t, eventually we resort to prayer. Why is prayer our last line of defense?
Prayer is such a wonderful gift we have. The greatest wireless connection. A direct link to God! And he wants to hear from you.
There are so many verses about prayer but here are just a few to encourage you today.
Philippians 4:6-7
Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
1 Peter 5:7,
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Prayer shouldn’t be our last line of defense. It should be our first line of defense. Go to God in prayer FIRST!
