Free online course – Navigating Grief with Humor

Have you ever found yourself laughing at a funeral? Humor and grief may seem like emotions that are at opposite ends of a spectrum. When they converge, something beautiful can happen. This free online course will help you see how humor can help a grieving heart cope, build resilience, and find purpose.

Life 101.9 and University of Northwestern – St. Paul are offering a free online course “Navigating Grief with Humor”. This course is designed for both the grieved and those who desire to help.

Details: Dr. Melissa Mork with walk students through a 6-week study that includes types of grief, tasks of grief, coping styles, factors of resilience, and strategies for finding meaning and purpose in grief. This online course begins June 28.

Bonus: For $25, you can take an exam to qualify for two undergraduate college credits to be applied when you enroll at the University of Northwestern in the next year.

Textbook: Some activities in the course are based on the textbook Navigating Grief with Humor.
